These plates feel incredibly tough. The height of the plates is exactly what you would want, but the thinness of the plats is the game changer. Two 45lbs plates are essentially equal in thickness to an ordinary rubber coated 45lbs plate. Twice the weight for the same space. For any bar which a shorter sleeve, these plates are essential. There is something pleasing about hearing steel touch when you lift too. Classic gym sounds.
